Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website or service stores on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, software development kits, pixels, tags, and other identifiers. In this policy, we refer to all of these technologies as "cookies."

2. Cookies Used on the Site

RunPass Media and the National Clearinghouse of College Recruiting (collectively, "RunPass," "NCCR," "we," "us," or "our") may use the following types of cookies on this website:

  • Strictly necessary cookies. These support core functions such as secure connections, request validation, fraud and abuse prevention, load balancing, and maintaining a technical session. The Site may not work correctly without them.
  • Functional cookies and storage. These may remember choices, maintain interactive page state, or support media and document viewers. Some functionality may be temporary and disappear when you close your browser or end your session.
  • Third-party media cookies. Social-media and video providers may use cookies when their embedded content loads or when you interact with it. These cookies may support playback, measure engagement, prevent abuse, remember a logged-in account, or personalize content under the provider's own policies.

We do not currently deploy a standalone analytics platform or advertising-cookie service of our own on this Site. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide any consent or opt-out controls required by applicable law.

3. Third-Party Cookies

The Site may display or link to content from providers such as YouTube, Spotify, X, Instagram, and TikTok. Embedded content can allow a provider to receive your IP address, browser and device information, the page you visited, and information about your interaction with the content. If you are logged in to that provider, it may associate the interaction with your account. A provider may use its information for analytics, personalization, or advertising as described in its own privacy and cookie policies.

Some third-party content may load automatically when you visit a page containing the embed. We do not set, name, control, or have access to third-party cookies, and their duration may change without notice. You can reduce this collection by blocking third-party cookies, using browser privacy controls, signing out of the relevant platform, or avoiding pages containing embedded content. Blocking a provider may prevent its content from displaying.

4. How Long Cookies Last

A session cookie generally expires when you close your browser or end a session. A persistent cookie remains until its stated expiration date or until you delete it. Duration depends on the cookie's purpose and the provider that sets it. Browser storage may remain until it is cleared by the Site, your browser, or you.

5. Managing Cookies

Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies and to limit third-party cookies. Browser help pages explain the controls available for your browser. Mobile-device settings, privacy extensions, and platform account settings may provide additional choices. If you clear cookies, change browsers, or use a different device, you may need to set your choices again.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies or browser storage may interfere with security, interactive features, forms, or other Site functions. Blocking third-party cookies may prevent social posts or videos from loading, but the rest of the Site should generally remain available.

6. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Some browsers offer Global Privacy Control (GPC) or "Do Not Track" signals. Because we do not currently sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no corresponding sale or targeted-advertising activity to opt out of on our Site. We will process legally recognized browser signals if our practices change and applicable law requires it. Third-party content providers may respond to these signals under their own policies.

7. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when technologies, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be accompanied by additional notice where required.
